"Do ya need, a break from modern livin'?" Asher's voice sang as he walked down one of the docks. "Do you long to shed your weary load?" Those lines were longer than his next, sang quicker as the song's pace picked up.

"If your nerves are raw and your brain is fried. Just grab a friend and take a ride," his words drew back out to hold vowels yet again. "Together upon the open road!"

When he heard his beheeyem at his side give a small chime or three, he began his whistling. The beheeyem danced and swayed, turned and curled in the air, floating above the doc as they walked. Asher's pace slowed once he saw a girl sitting on the dock and, without much thought, he plopped right down next to her.

"Anything bitin'?" He asked with a charming smile, as per usual when starting up conversations with strangers.

[attr="class","witness"]Seemed as if this one was not as jovial as he was. That was perfectly fine with Asher, he'd be eccentric enough for the both of them.

"Right, course. My apologies," his words became a bit more soft, body language calming as well. "If I've disturbed you, I do apologize-- ah!"

Asher spotted the kabuto and threw his luxury ball at it. The pokemon had tried to flee, but Asher managed the capture regardless. He'd battled it prior to coming down the dock and followed it in hopes to capture it.

"It tried to sneak away in the sands, clever thing."

At least, Asher had always thought so.

Instinct was something most reacted with, but Asher reacted to it. Depending on the instinct would depend on the action taken. It took strategy to decide which move to make next.

Or perhaps his philosophical tendencies were getting the better of him yet again.

"Either way," his eyes fell upon a piplup. All it took was a single thought and his beheeyem was sending out a psychic wave of energy at the piplup, which Asher followed up with tossing out a pokeball. "I'm Asher."

[attr="class","witness"]The adorably nervous twitches of the girl leaves a smile across Asher's face that is more genuine than it is flirtatious or charming.

Though, admittedly, even those smiles can be mistaken as charming. He's just got the face for charm.

"Iris, hm?"

Her name is short and sweet, it makes Asher consider for a moment if he'd met an Iris before. He knows the meaning, ironically enough. A small hidden quirk of his, looking up the meaning of names.

"To think I'd see a rainbow on such a beautiful day as this. What luck."

[attr="class","witness"]Asher watched as the girl dismissed herself, simply giving her a friendly smile. He could admire somebody who was more willing to do a good job than make friends. Though, maybe not, while he was the possible friend.

She did look a bit young though, so perhaps he dodged a bullet there.

Either way, he turned his attention to walk down the dock. A few steps down, he eyed a vibrava and smiled contently.

"Now, that could be nice for the desert... and you know what they say? Gotta catch 'em all."

Without another thought, Freddy began a small battle. The vibrava put up a good fight, but Asher's ball would determine who truly won in the end.
